Information about Reenactment Marketplace

How it works

How it works

 This platform enables anyone to offer themed products, services or information relating to living history, re-enactment or archaeology. All posted offers are checked by us, there is no right to have them activated for the marketplace if, for example, they violate applicable laws or do not fit in with our main topics.

 With this marketplace, we want to enable everyone to easily sell their goods or services online worldwide without having to operate their own online presence with all its pitfalls and challenges.

 It also offers archaeologists the opportunity to offer events, exhibitions, services and products, which leads to a better exchange between science and re-enactment.

 With Middle-Ages.Com & Historymerchant.Eu we already have 23 years of experience in online trading and would like to offer you a secure trading platform:

 You can be very creative with your offers, i.e. you can also offer, for example, board-woven borders with patterns according to customer requirements, or forged work to order, customised shoes, etc...

Security of financial transactions on our marketplace

 All financial transactions are processed via PayPal or Stripe, giving buyers and sellers all the advantages of an escrow service.
We therefore strongly advise against sellers trying to get buyers to pay in any other way, even in person, as there is no recourse in the event of defects or misrepresentation.

Fees

 Fees for the use of our marketplace are only charged once a product/service has been sold. Information, the creation of offers and the posting of products is completely free and unlimited!

Low fees of only

5% on sale

Marketplace fee:
5% of the proceeds (minimum 0,50€)
+ PayPal processing fee (0.39€ + 3%) or
+ Stripe processing fee (€0.25 + 1.4%, 2.5% or 2.9%)

Minimum price of products/services offered: €5

Calculation example:

PAYPAL:
Board-woven border with pattern according to customer request, retail price 50,- €
Insured shipping: 8,- €
Marketplace fee: 5% of 50,- € = 2,50 €
PayPal fee: 0,39 € + 1,74 € (58,- € * 3%) = 2,13 €
Payment to seller: 58,- € - 2,50 € - 2,13 € = 53,37 €

STRIPE:
Buyers within the EU (1.4% + €0.25)
Board-woven border with pattern according to customer request, retail price 50,- €
Insured shipping: 8,- €
Marketplace fee: 5% of 50,- € = 2,50 €
Stripe fee: 0,25 € + 0,81 € (58,- € * 1,4%) = 1,06 €
Payout to seller: 58,- € - 2,50 € - 1,06 € = 54,44 €

Buyers from the UK (2.5% + €0.25)
Board-woven border with pattern according to customer request, retail price 50,- €
Insured shipping: 8,- €
Marketplace fee: 5% of 50,- € = 2,50 €
Stripe fee: 0,25 € + 1,45 € (58,- € * 2,5%) = 1,70 €
Payout to seller: 58,- € - 2,50 € - 1,70 € = 53,80 €

Buyers worldwide (2.9% + €0.25)
Board-woven border with pattern according to customer request, retail price 50,- €
Insured shipping: 8,- €
Marketplace fee: 5% of 50,- € = 2,50 €
Stripe fee: 0,25 € + 1,68 € (58,- € * 2,9%) = 1,93 €
Payout to seller: 58,- € - 2,50 € - 1,93 € = 53,57 €

Right of cancellation

 In principle, it does not matter whether it is a private or commercial provider, but it makes a decisive difference to the right of cancellation:
- Commercial sellers must observe the statutory period of 14 days for the right of cancellation
Right of cancellation for consumers
(A consumer is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly outside their trade, business or profession).

Cancellation policy

Right of cancellation

 You have the right to cancel this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The cancellation period is 14 days from the day
- on which you or a third party named by you, who is not the carrier, has or has taken possession of the goods, provided that you have ordered one or more goods as part of a single order and these are or will be delivered uniformly;
- on which you or a third party named by you, who is not the carrier, have taken possession of the last goods, if you have ordered several goods as part of a single order and these are delivered separately;
- on which you or a third party named by you, who is not the carrier, have taken possession of the last partial consignment or the last item, if you have ordered goods that are delivered in several partial consignments or items;
To exercise your right of cancellation, you must inform the provider of the product/service of your decision to cancel this contract by means of a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post, fax, email or a direct message via our marketplace system). You can use the attached sample cancellation form, but this is not mandatory.
To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your notification of exercising your right of cancellation before the cancellation period has expired.

Consequences of cancellation

 If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. For this repayment, we will use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you; in no case will you be charged any fees for this repayment.
We will collect the goods.
The supplier bears the costs of returning goods that can be sent by parcel post. You shall bear the direct costs of returning goods that cannot be sent by parcel post in the amount of EUR 79.
You only have to pay for any loss in value of the goods if this loss in value is due to handling of the goods that is not necessary for checking their condition, properties and functionality.

Reasons for exclusion or cancellation

 The right of cancellation does not apply to contracts
- for the delivery of goods which are not prefabricated and for the manufacture of which an individual selection or determination by the consumer is decisive or which are clearly customised to the personal needs of the consumer;
- for the delivery of goods that can spoil quickly or whose expiry date would be quickly exceeded;
- for the supply of alcoholic beverages, the price of which was agreed upon conclusion of the contract, but which can be delivered at the earliest 30 days after conclusion of the contract and whose current value depends on fluctuations in the market over which the trader has no influence;
- for the delivery of newspapers, periodicals or magazines with the exception of subscription contracts.
The right of cancellation expires prematurely for contracts
- for the delivery of sealed goods that are not suitable for return for reasons of health protection or hygiene if their seal has been removed after delivery;
- for the delivery of goods if they have been inseparably mixed with other goods after delivery due to their nature;
- for the delivery of audio or video recordings or computer software in a sealed package if the seal has been removed after delivery.

Grounds for cancellation

 The right of cancellation expires in the case of a contract for the supply of digital content not on a tangible medium if the trader has started to perform the contract after the consumer has
1. has expressly consented to the trader commencing performance of the contract before expiry of the cancellation period and
2. has confirmed his knowledge that by giving his consent he loses his right of cancellation upon commencement of the performance of the contract.
- Private providers do not have to grant a right of cancellation
